Such Great Heights

Saddened by the lack of potential co-founders at the park, Snow made her way to the butterfly pavilion. The girl loved butterflies and they were an excellent source of money for a starving Founder.

The money situation had grown less dire as the science facility loves gathering these little creatures.  Snow needed to find a co-founder.  Snow stopped collecting, taking a moment to listen to her surroundings.  She could hear a guitar, she could hear voices….were there people somewhere?  Shy little Snow began weighing her options…

Snow:  Butterflies bring in money… A co-founder would bring me babies, and…extra income.  *Sigh*

Snow ventured out of the pavilion, where she found quite the number of people.

Snow found herself in a group of near 10 sims, however, there were only two men present and one of them seemed to be otherwise occupied.

Snow decided to try her hand at communication with a stranger and approached the beanie wearing nerd-man.

Snow:  Um…I’m Snow.

BWNM:  Snow?  That’s an interesting name…your hair is a gorgeous color.

Snow:  Really?  Thank you…

BWNM:  I’m Matty.  Matty Crew.

Matty:  I love your eyes…they’re so blue…I want to paint them…

Snow:  You want to paint my eyes!  I like the color they are!

Matty:  No!  I want to paint them..you know on canvas.

Snow:  Oh…

Both:  *giggle*

Snow:  Listen… I know we just met, but I have this dream…and in order to accomplish it I need to find love… This is a book I found…I thought you’d like it.

Matty:  A book?!  I love reading…wow…you’re swell.

Matty:  So, tell me about this dream.

Snow:  You may not believe me…but I was once a doll.

Matty:  A doll?

Snow:  A very special doll, made by a very special woman.  She made dolls that had a bit of magic in them, and when loved by children, they would become more than just dolls.  Her name was–

Matty:  Sarah?

Snow:  You-You know her?

Matty:  Know her?  She was my grandma’s best friend!  I always thought she as a little…out there – but… if she made you…I owe her an apology!

Matty: It makes perfect sense.  You know, sometimes I’d see things move inside her house when she wasn’t home…but my mom always sad I was imagining things..  *pauses*  So…you’re a doll?

Snow: No… not anymore.

Matty:  That would make a great book…*pauses again*  So…tell me about that dream.

Snow:  I want to give all Imaginary Friends a chance to become real.  I want to…have a family, and give them the chance to have a great friend and give those friends a chance for life.

Matty:  That’s…confusing.

Snow:  My dream is to give new life to other Imaginary Friends by means of my own children.

Matty:  That’s a noble dream, Sarah would have been proud.

Matty:  It was great meeting you today…

Snow:  …oh…you’re leaving?

Matty:  I have work in an hour…but…maybe we can get together after?

Snow:  Really?

Matty:  I’d like to hear more about your story…

Snow:  Oh…sure…I’d like that…

With those words past them, Snow headed back home, bought a tent and called decided for a nap.

Upon waking, Snow took a moment to tell her brothers and sister all about Matty.  She knew that there was only a small chance they could hear her…but they were important to her, and needed to hear all of her adventures.

Just as promised, immediately after work, a certain beanie wearing nerd-man made an appearance.

Matty:  Hi Snow…

Snow:  *blushes and hugs*

He spent the night with her, and later the next morning – Snow made a big step toward her goal, and asked Matty to move-in.  Snow had found her co-founder…

Matty and Snow became inseparable, spending every possible moment together.  Snow had never been so happy.  Having only lived together for two Sim days, Snow felt that Matty was the co-founder for the job…

Now, reader, I grow tired.  We will find ourselves with a party, a wedding, and perhaps the first Someone baby. =D

Author’s Note:  As babies are becoming a part of the future, it is important to add how the gender of the Imaginary Friend will be chosen.  I have a predetermined list of names for them, as a child is born they will be assigned to the next friend on the list.  Since there will be no cheating, I have no idea what gender each child will be, therefore this is the best way I could think of to determine IF gender. =P

Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)

Welcome back reader. On a quick narrator’s note, technology is a trickster.  Between game crashes we were able to save a few pictures, however, most went missing.  Another note, reader, as our Someone gains a voice, you will be spending less time with me.  On to the story.

Lily and Snow spent a lot of time playing tag.  This however, is the only picture left.  That being said, the only pieces of Snow’s life I have in photographed form are during her teenage years.

The Richmonds reach their teen years, in striking form, I may add.

Snow soon joins them.  The three remaining finally realize that their sister is talking to someone who isn’t there.  Perhaps they assume she is crazy, just like the town thought of Sarah.  However, the spark of ‘insanity’ wouldn’t last long…

Lily:  Snow, you’ve been a great friend to me, and kept me sane through the years of neglect and torment by my siblings and parents….  I just wanted you to know how much that means to me.

Snow:  *blinks and stares*

Lily:  Drink this…

Snow:  I–I…

Trini:  What is going on?!  Who’s this?

Lily:  Snow, mother, she’ll be living with us now.

Snow:  My goodness!  Mrs. Richmond?

Max:  *unimpressed face*

Nell:  Oh-My-God, calm down…calm down…she’s okay…right mommy?  You’re okay, right?

Max:  *sigh*

Kari:  The world is so confusing…

Trini:  I will not raise another brat!  I will not feed another mouth!  Get out of my house!

Snow:  It’s not like you actually raised the four you have.

Trini:  What?!  You little-

Lily:  Mother!  Stop!  She doesn’t have anywhere to go!  I promise she won’t get in the way, and she’ll take care of herself!

Trini:  Fine, but the minute, and I mean the very minute the two of you hit adulthood, you’re out of this house.

Lily:  I swear if I weren’t so friendly and good natured, I’d smack the living daylights out of you!  Get out of my room!

Lily:  Snow, I’m so sorry…

Snow:  You stood up for me…you gave me life, one little slap from a middle-aged woman isn’t going to ruin this day.  But… I would appreciate it if we didn’t interact with her much…

Meet our founder: Snow Someone.  Snow is Absent-Minded, Shy, a Genius, a Coward, and has a Green Thumb.  She enjoys Latin music, French Toast and the color Violet.  This is actually her adult picture, however, she doesn’t change at all from her teen years.  There were many issues with the game, thus I lost a lot of pictures.. However, we have enough to start our story.  Back to the teen years…

Lily began shaping Snow to get her ready for the real world.  Taking her to all of the local parks seemed to be in the forefront.

Dancing was on the agenda.

But snow found something more entertaining to do with her time.

Snow:  Oh!  They’re so pretty!

Lily:  Snow, dear?  There’s more for you to see. Come on.

Lily:  Tomorrow we’ll head to a park with swings, maybe you can meet someone there.  It’s a popular place.

Snow:  The idea of new friends is exciting and terrifying!

The two girls spend the majority of their teenage years together, almost to the point where one may confuse them for sisters.

As all teens do, Snow had to attend school as well, Lily kept a close eye on the innocent girl.  The first day she had made a silent vow to protect her at all costs.

Just as she had promised, Lily took Snow to the park with swings immediately after school. This became a daily routine, school, park, homework, bed.  Anything to keep Snow away from Trini (who still scared the daylights out of her).

Snow enjoyed her life, she had been given the chance for something more than that of an average doll… Life made her think of this often, the young girl made a vow to herself, that she would help as many of Sarah’s creations as she possibly could, give as many as possible the chance for life.  Snow decided to make herself a Legacy…

Snow and Lily planned the whole of venture, taking time to gather needed snackage from the local food-truck.

This became the routine, as previously stated, until the girls hit their adult years.  But before we reach that point, I first would like to give you the remaining photographs taken during Snow’s teen years.

Time soon came for the quads and Snow to reach their adult years.  Over the past few years Snow found herself becoming close friends with all of Lily’s siblings.  As they aged, they all celebrated together, without the quads’ parents.

Before the girls did as Trini told them, the three remaining children gave Snow a parting gift….

Snow packed up her few things, taking a bit of money offered by Lily, and purchased a piece of land for herself to start the Legacy she desired.

This is Snow’s new home.  It wasn’t much, but it was home.  A toilet, shower, fridge, grill, a few lights, a sleeping bag…a couple gnomes (we uh…’accidentally’ took these from the Richmonds), and three very special gifts from three good friends.

Violet, Sunny and Robin all joined Snow in her new home.

Snow met another great achievement, graduation.  She was voted most likely to have a large family.

Snow needed money in order to maintain life, but the girl was not apt to a job.  Thus, Snow began fishing.

At the local swimming hole, Snow met this attractive gentleman from France… to be honest readers, I can’t seem to recall his name.  Which is sad, because he was almost the co-founder of this legacy.

Thus I give you another photo album, this time, of Snow and Nameless-French man.

The young lovebirds were torn apart by space.  The man needed to get back home to his elderly parents.  Snow was saddened, but with her future in the balance, the girl needed to find someone else to be her co-founder.  Snow went to the places she knew from her teen years…

The park.  Lily did say that this was the place to meet new people..  however, today, there was a lack of life in the park.  Not to be one to give up, Snow spent a good chunk of time at the park, hoping someone would visit.

Slightly defeated, Snow decided to try the Butterfly park…perhaps someone would be there, if not, at least she could catch butterflies.

Snow grew sad, she wanted companionship.

Due to the large amount of photographs in this post, I call it quits here.

Life is Beautiful

Welcome back reader, it’s a pleasure to see you again.  As we learned last time we will only find ourselves following one of the Someones…so, before the change, before the sadness, I give you the limited number of photographs captured by the family.

Trini and Robert Richmond, the young gold digger and her rich older man are the parents of the quadruplets.  Trini has very little to do with her children, spending most of the time shopping and relaxing in the hot tub.  Robert is also a neglectful parent, he spends all of his time working, creating potions, or trying to create a Simbot.

Four Someones were brought into the Richmond house, four Someones were given names,  four Someones were loved by four tiny Sim Creatures.  But…as people do, those four Sim Creatures had to grow up…and as they age, toys begin to lose importance, and as soon as the little Someones began to fill complete once more…again, everything changes.

As I’m sure you can see reader…one Little Sim Creature has show much more affection for her Someone…

The children, as the Someones now see them, develop into creatures that for the most part, have other things – better things to do than play with a doll.  Fortunately for one of the Someones, their Sim Creature had enough creativity and imagination that her love for her someone never faded.

Snow was very fortunate, very fortunate indeed.  Lily loved her Snow, she spent all of her time with her.

Slowly these Someones became Noones yet again.  Snow could only watch in sadness as the magic left her friends.  Neglect had made them normal dolls, who simply sat and stared blankly.  Had it not been for the love of Lily, Snow may have become depressed, lonely.

Playing with Lily was the highlight of the little doll’s life.  Whether it encompassed Tea Time, House, or a multitude of other events, Snow’s life was amazing.  She had the constant reminder of her magicless friends, but her Lily was excellent at keeping her distracted.

Snow was loved.  Perhaps Lily was like Sarah, perhaps she too could feel how much Snow loved her, perhaps she could feel her magic.  Through the sadness, through the pain, Snow felt amazing, Snow…well, Snow felt human.

Snow felt the strange urge to be left out of Lily’s bags while she was at school, and somehow managed to convince the young Sim Creature to set her down…

That’s when it happened.  All of the love Lily had shared had turned Snow into something amazing.

It was an amazing feeling, like none other, Snow had become something more than a doll, though neither girl knew exactly what that was.

Either way, it meant for a new and exciting life together.

The Winner Takes it All

Our story begins in the life of Someone.  A Someone who has no name…who began life as only a piece of fabric and buttons.  It was all thanks to Sarah York that this story was able to begin…

A simple toy maker by trade and a child at heart, Sarah spent the majority of her adult life  creating some of the most intricate and fantastic dolls and toys known to any sim.  Her little toy shop was open for nearly 60 years before the old girl finally had enough of the business.   Sarah retreated into her workshop, from which a mysterious toy or two would venture out into the world.

As people do…talk occurred.  A witch is what they called her, her dolls were alive they said.  She was making Sim replacements, creating living creatures with magic!  Sarah had to be honest…they weren’t far from the truth.

Her workshop was filled with toys…who were far from normal.  At first…she hadn’t planned them that way, the magic…just happened.   It had all started with the Gnomes…who seemed to move about the workshop on their own, and in some situations…multiplied.

Then, in order to retain her sanity, Sarah began making the one thing she had always loved to create…dolls.  Simple dolls, no more than fabric, stuffing, and a few buttons.  Surely no magic would find its way here…

Little did she know, Sarah had created Someone….Someone special.  She didn’t stop there.  Sarah created hundreds of Someones, each one just a little different than the last.  She sold most, keeping only her first four creations, her first four Someones.

As it does, time passed.  Sarah continued to create her normal, average, run-of-the-mill dolls… she crafted many other toys, but still…there was something special about this doll.  She couldn’t part with it, keeping it practically glued to her side.

And again, as people do, the world began to talk.  Most still called her a crazy old witch and could swear they saw things move in the house when no one was home… But Sarah protested, her Someones wouldn’t do that…after all they were her normal, average, run-of-the-mill dolls.

As time progressed, Sarah began to see her dolls for what they were…whatever they were.  Sarah felt joy when she shared a room with them, felt love and comfort when she held them…  She could swear she had seen one of them shed a tear when she fell, another smile when she came home from the hospital.  Sarah began to understand just a little too late.

Death is never a pleasant experience… Sarah had lived a full life, a fulfilled life.  But in all honestly, in death she would miss her dolls, her Someones.  A final plea with Death earned her the chance to write a will, leaving each of her creations to those who would enjoy them…

Taking a final look over her creations…Sarah passed from this world…  That’s when everything changed…

The Someones began to notice their friends disappearing one-by-one as more Sim creatures came in and took them…

They disappeared…until the day when the world went black.  The day the room grew small…grew cramped.

For two months the four dolls who had no names sat in the small, dark, cramped room.  They were shook, tossed, thrown, and jerked…  it was a sad existence for such magical, loving dolls.  The sadness and lack of hope grew…the light and magic began to fade…  Life without Sarah…life without love, without hope… the Someones began to feel like Noones…

That is…until the day the roof lifted off of the small room, and each of the little wonders were thrust into the arms of little Sim creatures.

That day the Noones again became Someones…no, it was better than that.  They were given names…

Meet Robin Someone and his Sim Creature Max Richmond.

Meet Snow Someone and her Sim Creature Lily Richmond.

Meet Sunny Someone and his Sim Creature Kari Richmond.

Meet Violet Someone and her Sim Creature Nell Richmond…

Now, reader… I wish I could say that this was the start of a happy life for the Someones…but remember, we called this “The Legend of Someone…”  I wish I could have called it “The Legend of Someones…”, but life isn’t always fair or bright…  And my dear reader, only one of Sarah’s loves will continue on from this trek. . . . .

Sarah’s name is the first of the pop-culture names.  She is a character from Revenge of the Dolls by Carol Beach York.  She, unlike our Sarah, created ugly little dolls and was a mean, evil old witch.

“The Winner Takes it All” by ABBA takes our title….

Introduction (Updated)

The Legend of Someone Legacy is the story of a simple toy, whose life is forever changed by the heart of a little girl.  We will follow this toy, follow her life, follow her children, and many more generations as we see how a town can change in light of a single toy.

Specifics on the Legacy:

Founder will have an extended life period to best tell the story.  Remaining generations will have a standard life period. Founder will purchase land at least 40 x 40, and by any means drop funds to precisely 800 simoleons.  After this point no cheats are acceptable.

Heirs:

Heirs will be chosen based on two factors:

  1. Possession of an Imaginary Friend
  2. Positive relationship with an Imaginary Friend of the Opposite Gender or Positive relationship with a sibling’s Imaginary Friend.
If the event occurs in which multiple children are in possession of a Imaginary Friend of the opposite gender in a good relationship, there will be a vote taken as to which child should be heir.  If the event occurs that no one votes, a coin will be flipped and we will have our winner.
All children traits will be randomized.  (With the exception of Light/Heavy Sleeper…because I refuse their existence)
Naming of Children:
Each generation of children will have a pop-culture theme when it comes to naming.  For example:  Star Wars Characters… or something like that.
Imaginary Friends:
Prior to starting the legacy a list of names was created with a gender marker placed next to them.  As children are born, if they are given an IF, they will be given the name and gender hat appears next on the list.  Imaginary friends should be given names that fall under a theme that allows for many names to be derived from. (if needed, can use multiple)
The Someone IFs will receive their names from Comic Book Characters.
Naming of Chapters:
Unless I get bored with it and decide for a change, all of the chapter titles will be names of songs.  At the bottom of each page where the “Current Standings” is located, there will also be a link to the song with the name of the artist. 🙂
